Co‑operation is a world-wide movement. Co‑ops of all kinds and from all places find their forum in the International Co‑operative Alliance (ICA). CHF Canada is an active member of ICA Housing.

Housing co‑ops are an important part of the housing market in many European countries. About a million people have chosen this housing model in the United States. Housing co‑ops are taking root in Australia and in many countries of the developing world. The ICA housing organization allows the co‑op housing movement to pool information and experience across oceans and continents.
