2001 annual meeting

Victoria, B.C., hosts meeting

Great workshops, enthusiastic local volunteers, and a beautiful conference facility contributed to a very successful 2001 annual meeting in Victoria, British Columbia, from June 6 to 10.

One of the more important events at every annual meeting is the election of the Board of Directors.

Annual meetings are also places where we recognize outstanding achievements of co-ops and individuals with our annual awards. At this year’s annual meeting we decided to thank those housing co-ops who had belonged to CHF Canada for 20 years or more.

The annual meeting is often the location for a number of special events. This year's events included a rally for housing on the steps of the B.C. Legislature, a presentation by Mountain View co-op, victim of a catastrophic fire, and a report on B.C.'s leaky co-ops.

Members of CHF Canada set the direction of the organization at the AGM through debating and voting on the resolutions submitted to the meeting.
