Elections at CHF Canada’s 2002 annual meeting

One of the more important events at CHF Canada’s annual meeting is the election of the Board of Directors. Members elect a Board to direct the federation between annual meetings.

CHF Canada’s Board is made up of regional directors, a director representing the aboriginal community and five directors elected at large. Directors serve a two-year term and half of the Board is elected each year.

CHF Canada members elected three brand-new directors at the 2002 AGM. Heather Blake joined the Board as the new Ontario regional director. Craig Hunter and Joanne Mick were elected at-large. Members also welcomed David Kelly as the regional director for Newfoundland and Labrador.

Re-elected for a second term were Tony Legare, regional director for British Columbia/ Yukon, Mel Willis, regional director for Manitoba, Ken Elliott, regional director for New Brunswick, and Wendy Huggan, director representing the aboriginal community.

Here is a complete list of board members.

Thanks to retiring directors

At the AGM, members thanked retiring directors Wes Hosler, Pat Matthews, Donna Charbonneau, Heather Ramsay and Bruce Little for their hard work on behalf of CHF Canada.

René Daoust elected CHF Canada president

The new Board met following the AGM to elect the new executive. René Daoust, Quebec regional director, was elected president.
