What is FÉCHMACQ?

FÉCHMACQ was founded in 1991 to serve and represent the housing co‑operatives of central Quebec. There are 49 member co‑ops.

How is FÉCHMACQ run?

FÉCHMACQ is governed by a board of five directors. The federation employs three full-time staff members.

Services

• Development assistance,
• Advice given over the phone
• And administrative, insurance, planning and other services.
• They provide workshops in co‑operative living and management.

By taking part in activities organized in Quebec by CQCH, as well as those organized nationally by CHF Canada, FÉCHMACQ lobbies on behalf of co‑operatives in Quebec. A staff member represents the association at CHF Canada’s Federations Committee.
