What is FÉCHO?

FÉCHO was founded in 1985 to serve and represent the housing co‑operatives of West Quebec. It has about 20 members. FÉCHO provides such member services as development assistance, advice given over the phone, and financial, administrative, insurance, and other services. See the Web site for more detail. A wide-ranging program of workshops in co‑operative living and management is delivered by trained instructors.

FÉCHO takes part in the lobbying activities organized nationally by CHF Canada, as well as those organized in Quebec by CQCH. A staff member represents FÉCHO at CHF Canada’s Federations Committee.

How is FÉCHO run?

FÉCHO is governed by a board of eight directors. The federation employs 4 full-time staff members.
