![]() Northern Alberta Co‑operative Housing Association (NACHA) 200-12120 106th Avenue What is NACHA? NACHA was founded in 1986 and serves and represents the housing co‑operatives of Northern Alberta, particularly Edmonton. There are nearly 30 members of NACHA and one associate member – that are all also members of CHF Canada. NACHA provides a range of member services to about 1050 households. How is NACHA run? NACHA is governed by a board of nine directors who usually meet monthly. The federation employs one full-time staff member and uses the services of two others on a part-time contract basis. Services NACHA’s member co‑operatives receive the following services as a benefit of membership:
For an extra fee, NACHA also provides public orientation sessions, conflict resolution, meeting facilitation, translation services, credit checks, and educational workshops on co‑operative management and co‑operative living. Most of the workshop presenters have completed CHF Canada’s training program. NACHA takes an active part in local, provincial and national lobbying activities, including those co-ordinated by CHF Canada. For more information visit the NACHA website. |
