What is the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC)?
Founded in 1982, CHF BC serves and represents housing co-operatives and related organizations in British Columbia. CHF BC has almost 250 members.
How is CHF BC run?
CHF BC is governed by a board of 12 directors who serve two-year terms. The board works with an executive director, who supervises ten employees.
Services
CHF BC provides such member services as:
- Education (trained instructors deliver a wide-range of workshops in co-operative governance and management)
- Advice and consultation
- Communications (quarterly news magazine and web services)
- Commercial services (including a group buying program and pooled banking services)
- 2020 Vision programs and services
CHF BC sponsors a diversity program, including a Disability Trust fund and a Domestic Violence Relief Fund.
