Distinguished receivership expert joins Thornhill Green legal team
SEP 29, 2008 Frank Bennett, a distinguished receivership and bankruptcy lawyer, has joined the Thornhill Green Co-op legal team. Bennett is the author of numerous publications including Bennett on Receiverships, a leading legal reference book described by its publisher as “the only Canadian publication that sets out the law on all aspects of the receivership process.”
Thornhill Green, a 102- unit non-profit housing co-operative in Markham, is in court fighting attempts by York Region to force the sale of the co-op’s property to its own housing company at a price well below its market value. Murray Klippenstein is the lead lawyer in the case.
