Speaking up for co-op housing in Kitchener-Waterloo

AUG 14, 2012  Co‑ops in the riding of Kitchener-Waterloo are speaking up for co‑op housing during a by-election scheduled for September 6. Co‑op members in the nine co‑ops in the riding are asking candidates to work to

• pass Bill 65 in a timely manner. The Non-Profit Housing Co‑operatives Statute Law Amendment 2012 would change the eviction system so that co‑op tenure disputes are heard by the Landlord Tenant Board rather than the costly and time-consuming court system.
• create more co‑op housing.
